Just a quick one today. A month or so ago I saw the Wolverine movie and though it totally made up for X-Men 3. One of my favorite stories growing up was the Weapon X episodes in the old Marvel Comics Presents with art by Barry Wisner Smith. They even mad a toy of it in the 90’s. Thinking about it now I wish I drew that cool helmet… Yeah, now you see why I draw instead of write. Off to bed.

Leech Guy

Just a quick one. This week has been hell. The company I worked for filed for bankruptcy and so I am totally out of a job. A friend of mine and his coworker spent some down time coming up with these extreme over the top killer characters. He asked me to draw a few. This is the leech guy. Not my top of the line but fun. Post more soon between job hunting. Gosh It would be great if I broke into comics soon. If I had one of those story's where things turned around at just the right time. I know there's a ton of people who have it much worse off than me but it would be nice.

Batman process.

I’ve been drawing for about 25 years give or take. There is very little I dislike drawing on. Two things I do hate drawing on happen to be, Pocket size and non-spiral sketch books. So imagine my surprise when I tried the Moleskine pocket sketch book. They are hard cover but are bound with thread not glue. So if you want to do a two page spread (as I did in this Batman piece) than you don’t have to worry about the fold in the middle. I figure good enough for Picasso, good enough for me. I fell in love with these sketch books and even if your not an artist they make great note books too. If you like to travel they make special note books for most major cities, full of history and facts. It’s really great having something to get my Ideas down on in my pockets at all times.

Sweeney Todd

I really like the inking style of this one. It was a gift for my girlfriend. I inked jut the line work and then used the paint bucket for the black spotting. It's how I try to approach inking every time now. It's fun because you don't know what its going to look like until you drop the black into it. Post some new stuff again next time.

Blast off.

Just starting out. I'm hoping to update frequently and document my breaking into comics. At this point in my life, I don't have any excuse. I have all the tools and knowledge to break in, if I don't I can only blame myself. Thanks.
